Our Mission
Anchor Point Community Support is dedicated to uplifting individuals and communities by providing essential resources and support. Our mission is to foster dignity, resilience, and empowerment through innovative programs that address the needs of those we serve, both locally and around the world.
Much of Anchorpoint’s vision comes to life through the Fireside Bistro. The Bistro provides meals, services, and meaningful employment opportunities for individuals who need support and encouragement.

Our Initiatives
Community Empowerment Program
Anchorpoint's primary activity is the operation of a restaurant (Fireside Bistro) that serves as a vocational training and employment site for underprivileged individuals who face substantial barriers to traditional employment. These individuals include, but are not limited to, [persons experiencing homelessness, formerly incarcerated individuals reentering society, individuals recovering from substance abuse, youth aging out of foster care, veterans facing reintegration challenges,] and others who experience chronic unemployment or underemployment due to socioeconomic disadvantage.
Local Outreach and Support
In addition, Anchorpoint furthers its charitable purposes by serving meals to underprivileged persons in Indianola. We offer meals at substantially reduced prices to individuals demonstrating financial need, and provides meals at no cost to individuals who are unable to pay via a weekly Monday dinner.
National and Global Outreach
A portion of the proceeds from all sales helps fund community outreach projects, missionary work, and disaster relief work throughout both nationally and internationally. The motto of the Fireside Bistro is “Eat Good, Do Good.”
